How to stuff the Best Welcome Bags

This list will provide you with every link you need to create the best welcome bag for your out-of-town hotel guests.
Personal Care Items
While stuffing, remember that most hotels provide soap, shampoo, etc… so don’t waste your $$ there. Bathroom items guests forget most often are a razor, toothbrush, and aspirin or ibuprofen.  Other great items are destination related, like sunscreen’s a great stuffer for beach weddings, while bug repellent is a good one for your forest nuptials.
Minimus is an amazing site.  There’s nothing you can’t find there in cute little single-sizes…BUT it can be really pricey. I also like TravelStuff4u There’s no edibles there, but they have a great selection of outdoors and all natural products. If you’re not concerned with brand names I highly recommend DollarTree online.  You can really save money there.
 Snacks Really Matter
I love WorldMarket  I think shopping quantity at World Market is better online than in their stores. Get cheese and sausage that does not require refrigeration.  Add a mini mustard and crackers, plus some chocolate, you’re set. If you really want to do it up; add a pate and spicy jelly, maybe popcorn.
Standard 17oz water bottle is imperative.  The rule on welcome bags is a bag per room, not person.  So it may be wise to include 2 standard water bottles per bag.
Will there be kids at your reception?
I strongly suggest good diversions for the kids.  A great kid’s goody bag can be a reception lifesaver. Here’s some help with that. Get familiar with OrientalTrading Great deals, worth the hunt. Not always organized well, and its search is not good, but it’s worth exploring.
First, plain cheap white paper table cloth for the kids table with lots of crayons. Let them go to town.  Find white paper table covers at any dollar or party store.
And of course, The Perfect Welcome Bag
BestWelcomeBags has hundreds of wedding welcome bag products and designs, including destination specific designs and free use of your photo or logo for a custom design. To save some money you can get the bag labels at BestWelcomeBags without the bag. Find bags on your own, like at a dollar store.  A 10 x 8 bag fits a couple standard water bottles and snacks well.  Add a product to match the bag label, like the door hanger or welcome note and you have a cute set. I always recommend topping off every bag with a puff of tissue.  Head to the dollar store for that as well.
